Her passing was confirmed in a online announcement from the presidential library.
“Tatiana passed away this morning. She will forever remain in our hearts.”

In a published essay this past fall, Schlossberg revealed that she had been suffering from AML, a form of leukemia with a specific genetic mutation.
Acute myeloid leukemia is a cancer that targets the body's blood-forming tissues.
